I have spent my entire adult life in the Army, where I’ve deployed overseas to Iraq, Kuwait, Guantanamo Bay, and South Korea. I still continue to serve part time as a helicopter pilot based out of Grand Ledge, and I have logged more than 400 flight hours in the Army since I was first elected to office.
I have been a consistent, principled, and conservative voice in the House of Representatives. I am proud that the American Conservative Union has twice recognized me with their Award for Conservative Excellence, which is their highest possible achievement.
Most importantly, I am the only 100% consistently pro-life candidade for the State Senate, not because it is politically expedient, but because it is the right thing to do. I have also worked hard on improving the lives of our veterans, and I have sponsored six pro-veteran bills that have been signed into law.
My wife, Ashley, and I are committed to this district, raising our family together at our home in Charlotte. I hope to earn your vote and I look forward to being your voice in Lansing.

Senate Campaign Kickoff
When I first ran for office in 2014 I ran because I was sick and tired of seeing battle buddies of mine come home from overseas and struggle to find work back home. Michigan had the second-highest veteran unemployment rate in the entire nation. I’ve been in the army the last 17 years and I…
Dirty Tricks from the Lansing Swamp
Well, they tried, and failed. My opponent, in a desperate attempt to question my integrity, tried to smear my military record by complaining about a flight mission I performed while on military duty at a Perry High School football game in October. Unfortunately no good deed goes unpunished. My opponent, a career lobbyist who was…
